Compare the light source, heating system and electrical supply separately

When comparing red light therapy equipment, a light-wave cabin or an energy chamber listing, begin with the actual model specification. A cabin may combine LEDs, heating, controls and oxygen equipment. Each function needs its own description and measurements; one headline power figure cannot describe the whole configuration.

This guide uses the 3A health ORNF-1012 single-person light-wave vitality cabin as a documented equipment example. It helps buyers prepare technical questions and an itemised enquiry. It does not prescribe treatment settings or establish a clinical outcome.

A comparison sheet for light-based equipment

Data item What it describes What to request
Wavelength, in nm The specified light wavelength or range. Individual wavelengths and the specification for each source.
Optical output and irradiance Light output and the power reaching a defined area. Measurement method, distance, positions and units.
Exposure time and output mode Duration and whether output is continuous or pulsed. The model's controls, mode description and measurement conditions.
Heating system The separate heating hardware and temperature controls. Heating element, electrical load and operating instructions.
Total electrical input The stated electrical requirement of the listed configuration. Complete connected load, voltage, frequency and connection details.
Oxygen equipment A separately specified generator, outlet and terminal arrangement. Generator output, measurement point and included components.

Read the ORNF-1012 model sheet

The ORNF-1012 specification page lists a Western Red Cedar cabin, tempered-glass doors and windows, mica-panel heating, and 75 LEDs at 660 nm plus 75 LEDs at 880 nm with pulse-mode operation. Timing, temperature adjustment and mode selection are listed control functions.

  • Listed overall dimensions: 1000 × 1200 × 2000 mm. Request the layout drawing to confirm orientation, delivery access and installation clearances.
  • Listed electrical supply: 220 V / 50 Hz. Listed cabin power value: 2400 W. Oxygen-generation power is listed separately as 300 W. Confirm the complete supplied configuration and total electrical load for site planning.
  • Listed oxygen-generator output: 5 L/min at 93% ±3% concentration, with one oxygen terminal set. This concentration describes generator output, rather than the atmosphere throughout the cabin.
  • The product sheet identifies this model as non-medical equipment. It does not state irradiance at the user's position or a delivered optical dose.

Keep those limits visible when comparing quotations. LED count does not establish irradiance, and the listed cabin power value is not a measurement of LED optical output. Ask for a separate optical specification if your project requires it.

Questions for a US installation enquiry

State the actual voltage, frequency and electrical connection available at the site. Do not assume that the listed 220 V / 50 Hz configuration matches a US installation. Ask the supplier to identify the offered configuration in writing and have the responsible local professionals review the complete electrical and site requirements.

Send a room plan, delivery-route measurements, intended occupancy and proposed equipment location. Include the space required for opening, associated equipment and maintenance. Request a quotation that separates the cabin, oxygen equipment, accessories, delivery, installation, training and any exclusions.

Common comparison questions

Are light-wave cabins and red light therapy listings directly comparable?

Compare named configurations and the functions you need. A cabin with heating and oxygen equipment may have a different scope from a stand-alone light panel. Review the light source, optical measurements, heating, controls, electrical supply and intended-use documentation separately.

Does a wavelength specification establish a suitable exposure?

A wavelength is one part of a light-source specification. Ask for the relevant optical measurements, geometry, output mode and operating instructions for the specific model. This procurement guide does not supply an exposure schedule or recommend a dose.

What should an energy chamber quotation include?

An exact model, an itemised equipment list, clearly labelled electrical and optical data, installation responsibilities, operating information and written service terms. The general label “energy chamber” does not identify a standard set of included functions.

Sources and further equipment planning

Model information follows the linked ORNF-1012 product page checked on 22 October 2026; the power descriptions were reviewed on 23 October 2026. For terminology, the FDA's January 2023 draft guidance on photobiomodulation devices discusses wavelength, irradiance, radiant dose and output mode for devices within its scope. It is a draft with non-binding recommendations, not a product approval or a determination that this cabin falls within that scope.
